red leg hermit turned whte

is this normal i have a red legged hermit that is in my tank that turned white. not the shell the actual crab. I have had him about 2 weeks now in a tank that's 3 weeks old. any help would be appreciated

I have the same thing in my tank. one of my red hermits turned white. i was trying to figure out where he could have come from never thought about him changing colors.

Hope someone chimes in on this one that knows more.

I've got a couple blue legged hermits that are losing their color and turning very light blue (almost white). Weird.

Same here with the blue legs, although it seems like a cycle in my tank. Sometimes pale, sometimes vibrant.
