125g reef with 240-260lbs rock approx 93 corals sps and lps and some zoa's. Ok that discription gives you an idea of my tank, lots of obstacles , cracks and crevices and a heck of alot of navigation for a hermit crab. A few weeks ago I drilled a hole in a rock at the very top of my pile to put in a new frag on a ceramic plug. I always let them go for a few weeks to see if they will live before I cement them in place. I have two red legged hermit crabs as part of my cuc and they constantly want to be at the base of that plug of my new frag, in fact now they have gotten the plug out of the hole and the frag is laying on its side. Ive taken these crabs and moved them completely to the oposite side of the tank SEVERAL times and they (both) keep finding there way back to that hole I drilled. Are they mating or laying eggs or something? I dont get their persistance!! Their going to find themselves in the sump , soon.
