I would have bought it for that price and size.

It was nice looking too. If I didn't already have one, and if the cube would have been set up......

From what he said

From what he said

From what he told me about collecting them is that hes seen yellows greens reds and rust color ones.

He said the best specimins also are 5-8 inches in size and those are the ones that do best.

I wish i had 500 to spend one one.

A red mertensii? Is there such a thing? The tips of mine looks yellow under MH and neon orange under actinics. If there is a red one..that would be awesome.

tpdpercula, I was the one that bought the mertensii from reefscience. I wish I could have bought it from DD it would have cost less.

Oh, regardless you were able to find one and had success with it. I would love to see pics of those different colored ones.

Todd: I'm just wondering how you explain how you have kept some haddoni so well and lost others? Did the ones that die look good and then collapse. I have the healthiest fish and corals and a BTA, but I just can't seem to keep other nems. Do you think its really dependant upon health of the anemone that may not be completely detectable?

I wish I knew exactly what happened to the ones the didn't make it. I think that they ( Haddonis ) are actually poor shippers, and I got lucky with my blue one -- that came in perfect and settled in right away.

They look good for the first day or two, and then go down hill from there. Have even tried them in one of my tanks that his two healthy ones in there, so I don't think it is a water quality issue.

Just found a cool looking one that should be here later this week -- pending on the weather, there is a chance that it will be held because it is going to be pretty cold.

Not sure if I'm following this thread correctly, but I have the pic of the red haddoni from Friday...and it's a haddoni.

I never saw the one on Friday, but there was one on there earlier today, around noonish (( or whenever this thread started )), that was there for about 30 minutes or so.

I would imagine that it would be the same one from Friday since no updates were sent out at noon, no?

True, but I didn't see it later in the day on Friday, after it had been updated. (( though there is a chance I missed it )).

My BAD SHUTINY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She has some awsome anemones i wish i could get one but dont have the room.

The one today was labeled as having dots on the base. Ive personally never seen a haddoni with dots?

To me it looked exactly like Shutiny's red mertens.

It was not the same one from Friday unless they unlisted it over the weekend and popped it back up today when the thread was started.

Haddonis grow fast, I got this one a few months ago and it is already threatening to take over my 50gal. cube

NP, its all good:)
By the way, a stressed haddoni may have prominent verrucaes.
I have some pictures of the ones I have I could post later.
But, some of the reds I have seen when they first arrived, could have been either haddoni or gigantea to me. Very hard to tell, so I called them super specie.
