Red Sea coral pro or reef crystals

I know it's a loaded question but I just want to see everyone's opinion on which is better for mostly lps coral.

hate to answer your question with questions......but

Do you dose 2part or have a ca reactor?
Do you dose supplements?
How often do you do water changes?
How long does the mixed saltwater sit before you use it?

If you have a small nano tank and Maint is mainly frequent water changes, I would go with a high quality salt mix.

If you dose 2part or have a ca reactor and dose supplements I would go with cheaper/cheapest salt.

I've had success with both. Keep in mind the RSCP mixes cloudy if not done to the T. That said I did tons of water changes with cloudy water and it never affected anything.

Wouldn't it be better to pick whichever is closest to your tank parameters?

That makes sense, but personally I don't think its as critical as most people make it seem, unless there is a HUGE discrepancy and you are doing HUGE water changes. Heck there was a 4dkH alk discrepancy between tank and salt and I used RSCP for the longest. Stopped using it because I got tired of the cloudy mixes and it was expensive to boot.

What are you using now? Reefcrystals? I'm personally thinking of trying the new fritz salt when I get the new tank going.

i use reef crystals. Im not sure if its just in my head but it seems suddenly it takes more to get to the correct salinity. should be 2.5 cups to 5 gallons but im having to add 3.5+ to get the right salinity. not sure whats going on there.

Red Sea was great when I used it. Only switched b/c of price. I loved that it was mixed in an hour or so, I have to wait much longer for Reef Crystals, which means planning ahead (something I'm not fond of!).
