Red Sea coral pro salt

I just tested a fresh batch that I just made of salt water and it seems to have some ammonia I would say about 0.25ppm is this normal with this salt? In the picture the test tube on the left is the salt water that got mixed with coral pro salt and the tube on the right is the plain RO used to make the sat water.

Interesting. Out of curiosity, why are you testing fresh made water for ammonia? Are you sure your RODI is working properly? That could potentially be a source for that (chloramines)....

I was testing the RO just to see if it was really the salt because after the test the RO ammonia is fine but then after I mix the salt that's when ammonia shows up.

Is the ammonia test for fresh or salt water? Sometimes it makes a difference. Why are you testing in the first place? Having issues?

API test kit can be used for both fresh and saltwater I worked with API test kit several times in an aquarium store before and by that picture there's definitely ammonia in that water left tube.... that being said I hope you let the tubes sit for the recommended time a test like that takes time to form the color for its true result at least from API.
