Its on my short list of wrasses that I really want in the tank so regardless if I get one this time I'm trying to do some research and see how people have been successful with them.
Thanks guys. Size isn't an issue since I have a 220 and I need a few bigger fish with all these small wrasses swimming everywhere
I have a few semi-aggressive fish in the tank now but its generally very calm in the tank. The Thompsons tang does chase a wrasse away from his corner sometimes but not often. The orange shoulder is aggressive towards new comers but I'll be using my acclimation box moving forward when they go from QT to DT. He quits bothering them after a day or so.
I hope the shipment comes in ok and I'm lucky enough to get one. Already lining up the funds
Males reach about 4 inches. The "usually available" flashers are about 2/3 the size of 8lines. As far as I know the 8 lines are only found in the Red Sea.
Thanks for the info Steve...much appreciated. Hopefully everything will work out and I'll be able to snag one of these beauties. I hope Brad doesn't mind me saying but he said he got one of the many the vendor got in earlier this year and his was the only one that didn't make it.
