RSMreefer Since the 6025 is already on it's way, I'll be trying it anyway. I'll just be careful with the C bracket!

Reefmack:

I agree 100% the rack is a simple but very effective design.

Great job Stevie T

Good luck with the Tunze Nanostream. Please keep us posted on how you like it.

That's a lot of water in 2 days!!! We had MH pendants over our previous aquarium, and ran a computer fan to blow over the surface. Hence, our Tunze Osmolator purchase. It really worked great but is now sitting unused. I noticed a lot more salt creep too, with the fan blowing.

Wow! :eek2: :eek1: :eek2: I must have missed that one! That's a LOT of water!

I'd have to install another 55g drum just to keep up with RO/DI!!

xdfireguy - sorry LOL!

Donna - I think you meant split LOL! "And here we are ... spit again!!" Don't forget - Brent has 3 tanks and a sump kooked up in his "RSM" system - lots of places to evaporate from!

Reefmack I have a powersweep in my quarantine and am happy with it. It needs to be taken apart and cleaned every couple months or it stops moving. It is a couple years old now and still working.

Reefmack: Did you say (way back when, before the split) that you made your own media rack? If so, would you mind sharing the details. I have a bunch of scrap acrylic and was thinking of throwing something together myself. (Especially once the new venturi shows up from Tunze!)

Well, I guess I'll keep an open mind on the Powersweep. It sounds like the large one may take up too much space in my tank though - it might end up sitting over some of the SPS on my top right side. That would defeat getting it for that location.

Reefmack: BTW, you also said that Brent has his tanks & sump kooked up in his RSM. :D

Yeah - I saw that AFTER I sent it & you were too quick to allow me to edit it! There - you got your revenge now :)

It's just a flurry of posts on the RSM thread!!!

Geesh - I can't even keep up with this hyperactive flurry of posts! It'll take NACL H2O Fish (Kent) a day to catch up! Serves him right for ignoring us in favor of that Quaker Parrot Forum!

The size isn't an issue in the quarantine but I could see it being an issue in a display tank. It gives me mechanical filtration (foam in the inlet), surface skims and provides motion so is ideal to keep the quarantine setup simple.
