Never tried it yet. I go with hanna phos checker. Phosphorous i should state. That checker.

do you mean the one with the color wheel? I had one and it would ready that I had phosphates. But when I had my water tested with a lab grade test meter at my LFS it read 0.00. I would invest in a hanna checker, or the hanna meter. Milwaukee instruments makes a po4 meter as well. I think it's called a martini or something like that.

I have the Red Sea phosphate and I like it although I plan on getting the Hanna sometime in the future.

Elos makes a good low range po4 test kit that is supposed to be pretty good.
