Hi,
Just picked up this rock, its about 6" and is covered in two types of zoa (possibly palythoas).
The first thing I would like ID'd are the red skirted zoanthids in the picture. They have red skirts, a think light blue inner band, and then a white mouth. Are these fire and ice zoanthids?
Second, is the larger pink ones on the bottom left. There are a few small groups of these scattered on the rock, but the bottom left ones are the biggest. These have a small stalk, and seem to extend out past their base leading me to think they are palys. They are pink skirted, with a pink band, and a yellow mouth. Some are flat on the rocks, but there is a small colony that has a .75" stalk.
Cool note, I have hybrids :spin1: There are some red skirted ones with yellow mouths, and some pink striped palys with red skirts.
Thanks!
