Red Spot on Regal Tang

I have a 55 gallon tank. New but already cycled. Currently I have two clowns and a regal tang. I started t notice a red almost like scratch or blotch near where his tail connects to his body. My friend says it may be a scrathch but Im very worried. Any help?

Its grown very rapidly since last night. I need some help on how to fix it. I doubt ich because its in only one area and very lagre. It resembles like a fungus almost. Please help

Redness can be indicative of a bacterial infection. These can spread quickly. This fish should not have been placed in a newly established tank. Please post all of your water parameters, including pH.

She gave me some melafix. The tangs doing great. Its day four of the treatment. The fungus is gone and the redness is almost gone
