Red Star attacked by Cho Chip Star..

I came home today and my CC Star was on top on my red star..looks like it ate the top layer of its skin off..do you think it will heal on it's own?...any advice would be appreciated

Chocolate chip stars are predators of many things, including corals and other echinoderms. I wouldn't keep one for this very reason.
