Red Tail Trigger

So, As I sit as week 2 starts in my tank cycle - planning and planning again...my stock list lands as follows:

90 Gallon w/ center overflow with basic sump:

no corals ( i do think frogspawn may tempt me but I wont be upset if i cant have it )

Clowns with a host anemone
horseface blennie
Kole yellow eye tang
a "school" of something
clown goby
firefish
angel ( not sure on which )
and most important

If i can have this list with a red tail trigger as my "showcase" fish, id be thrilled.

Is this possible??

90 gallon is too small for a red tail trigger. It will get overly aggressive and kill all other small fish. Plus that list has enough fish without the trigger. It will be a borderline overstocked tank by the time all those fish reach adult size.

Tank would probably be too small for one, though I wouldn't call the current stock list overstocked. Hard to say without knowing what angel, dwarf or large.

so things have changed with my list. I got a tiger goby who ended up dead in my sump ( i assume he jumped into my overflow) I have 2 bangai cardinals, 1 cleaner shrimp, 2 narcarrus snails and today i added a red bubble tip anemone with a baby clown. I do want to add a kole yellow eye tang and one other fish - i like blonde naso tangs and knox (black) angel.....thoughts?

Yeah, the naso would be over sized for a 90 gallons.

You can add most dwarf angles if you are not considering to have corals. Keep in mind that tangs and dwarf angels will fight if you add one to a tank that the other established it self. So it is best to add two at the same time if you are confident that your biofilter matured enough to handle the sudden increase in bio-load.

NO TRIGGERS in a 90 gallon with Blennies or Firefish!
A Kole Tang would be nice in your tank your size. They are gorgeous. And quite mellow. Be sure to add it LAST.
If you want an Angel get a Pygmy Angel or Dwarf Angel such as a Coral Beauty or a Lemon Peel. Very nice fish. NO full size Angels in your tank.
Firefish are a good choice too! Add one before your baby clown gets full size! Ditto the Blennies!

I do not plan to add corals so no worries there. Will fire fish hang out together?..should I just get one? Id like some sort of a "school"
