reef buffer

I am trying to raise my ph and alk. I used to use marine buffer and stopped due to the borate. I was talking to the people at the LFS about it and they said to use reef buffer. I suggested a 2 part and they said this is more stable. I also use Kents Tech M and they told me to use Reef advantage magnesium and mix it and it would last longer. Also compared alk kits api and hagen.

hagen 130mg/l or 7.2 if multiplied by .056+dH or 9.1 multiplied by .07 = clark H Which one is it?

If you want to raise your pH and Alk, I would suggest Kalk.

i use baking soda to raise my alk, slightly lower my ph
and soda ash to raise my alk and slightly raise my ph

I was using kalk and just ran out and that was the intended product I was after and this is what I ended up with. Is pickling lime the same? I have read people using it and the lfs told me not to use the lime.
