Reef cleaner packs

My system is 75 gallon reef ready with 40 gallon sump it has been up and running for about 6 months now. My buddy was over yesterday and he has a 180 gallon tank and we where talking about reef cleaner packs because we both have a bit of hair algae. As far as snails and what not we both have thrown in a hand full of snails and hermit crabs here and there but really never planned out as far as why we wanted the kind we got.
With that being said o and we both have emerald crabs and I have a sea hair and cleaner shrimp. We where talking about our hair algae and threw some reading and talking to other people we figure we both must have some nitrates that the hair algae is feeding off, and that's why when we test for it it comes up 0?
Sorry I jumped around a bit but I we are looking at getting reef cleaner packs so we have sand sifting snails and what not to try and get rid of the nitrates, my question is the pack I am looking at says it comes with 7 peppermint shrimp will they get along with my cleaner shrimp. I do have some aiptasia which it says they will eat but I do zap it with aiptasia Xmas soon as I see it...

Thank you for any replies

IME when I keep peppermint shrimp by themselves they do just fine. But if I throw them into tanks containing cleaner shrimps they disappear after 2-3 days. depends what you are keeping, in my smaller tank I have pincushion and tuxedo urchin chumping down my hair algae. In my larger tank I have fox face and yellow tang (what you buddy can do) keeping GHA in check. Also, be aware of some packages. a 40 gallon sand bed will not sustain a sand sifting star for a long time so avoid those. A tiger tail cucumber is a good option, also a sand sifting goby helps too.
