Reef fish

Just upgraded from a 125 to a 220, also added a 75 gallon refugium. I am looking to add a couple more fish, something with nice color. I currently have a purple tang, chevron tang, hippo tang, fox face, starry blenny, 1 fire fish, 1 Banggai cardinal, tri color wrasse, six line wrasse, 4 clowns, 2 chromis, and 2 damsels. I am going to take out the damsels and chromis before adding new fish. I would like to add some gobie/ shrimps combos and maybe some other wrasses. All the fish I have came out of my 125 and were in there for over a year with no problems. I also have a reef octopus 3000sss and about 350 lbs of live rock, so my filtration is good to go.

Also in have a mix of soft, lps and sps corals so I don't want anything else that will eat them.

I have thought of adding 3-4 more cardinals, and same with fire fish. I also saw a tamarin wrasse (looks like marine beta) that I liked.

With that size tank have you considered a shoal of anthias? There are quite a variety available...bartlets, lyretail, dispar and evansi have all been on my watch list. I made the mistake of getting purple queens in my 125 for my wife and they slowly starved to death, but that is not unusual for purple queens.

I have a shoal of chromis right now which is the only reason I haven't any anthias (yet).

+ 1 on the Lyretail or Dispar Anthias. i would suggest purchasing 3-5 of them (one of them being the mail). Very active & colorful fish!

i recommend this as well since you have the size for them. but you dont have to make sure ones a male and the rest females. just grab a bunch of females (3-5) and one will turn into a male over time.

or you could get a nice flasher wrasse one male and female so you can watch the male flash off his good looks to the female; now thats a sight every reefer should witness.

If you want a Goby Shrimp Combo. Try a Yellow watchman and Pistol Shrimp! Best comb IMO.
