Kudos to Max,

I found these guys online, and after the sad death of my rabbitfish I decided on a emperor angelfish, looked around at the local stores and could'nt find one for under a 100 dollars...

I even found an adult for 219.99 at reef collections new store near south coast plaza...

Did a search on the internet and ouila I found reefhotspot.com, and found that they are near LA.

Checked his prices and found he had angelfish for 50.00..

Right on I set up a time to go, and I get there and his set up is really nice...

His livestock looked great!

Also a TWO WEEK guarantee... I dont know anyone who offers that.

I ended up buying a Majestic angelfish.. ( 75 ), and scribbled rabbitfish ( 25) a naso tang ( 9.99 ), and this killer yellow green cluster acorpora with pink tips... $50...

I was pretty happy when I left I'll tell ya..

Max is a really cool guy to deal with very knowledgable, we had a cool conversation about BALI and how he's been there used to go diving in florida alot...

I'm gonna say that it is a MUST to go and see this guy and what he has to offer... A real nice fuzzy acro there too that I wanted, but didnt want to go over budget.

Seriously, I rarely buy fish, and corals... prefering to buy frags, but this time I bought. I will be back.

It is worth the drive from orange county, so all you guys go check out this store. Definitly worth the ride for the gas.

I'll probably check them out this week. This is less then 5 minutes from my house.

Did they sell lighting there too? I need to buy a light for my 10g Nano and I haven't been able to find anything locally.

lol, I think this is the 4th thread in which I've sung his praises. I really think this store will be one of the few on the regular rotation (along with Jeff's, Tong's, Tat's). Stopped by today but looks like he didn't get his shipment of fish from Jakarta. The new clams he did receive are nice and reasonably priced. Too bad I wanted a blue teardrop maxima or I would have picked up one of the croceas.

I know it's a bit off topic, but can anyone tell me what store actually stocks a lot of lighting?

I've been to a couple LFS, but no luck. I'm looking to get the Coralife 20" Quad 50/50. I would just will-call from marine depot...but they are closed on Mondays and I really want to pick up lighting tomorrow. If anyone knows where I can find this locally, please let me know.

Update on my new fish, All are eating and swimming!

The majestic angel seems to have found a little home in some rocks, kinda hangs out there all day.

Max definitely will not have it since his dry goods stock is pretty limited.

Other than MD, I'd try Jeff's or Seaside Tropical Fish (fishsupply.com). Both have a pretty good selection of dry goods at reasonable prices.
