hi there I was just wondering if there is an eel that is reef safe and will most likely not eat the cleaner shrimp, or small fish I plan on getting?

I read somewhere that the hawaiian gold dwarf eel is safe. Believe that is the name of it
Matt - Do you have any PVC or specially built caves for the ribbon eel in the tank? I was thinking about putting one in my 180g which I plan on stocking with mostly smaller, less aggressive fish such as anthias, dwarf angels, CBB, etc.
There r no truly reef safe eels. I have a golden dwarf moray and he has eaten a few small fish (Psuedos, assessors and a small peppermint hog) He also ate two cleaner shrimp. Needless to say i have stopped buying fish that are small enough to fit in his mouth and dont have any shrimp. Bottom line is eels r predators and they will eat wut they can fit in their mouths. The golden dwarf is the safest because they stay the smallest, but they will eat wut they can fit in their mouths even when well fed.
