Reef octopus recirc. model question.

I was planning on hopping on the wait list for the DNW-200 Octopus skimmer. But will this skimmer work for my heavily stocked 125 gallon reef, 45 gallon sump, and 30 gallon frag tank ????? I want to be over skimming. And I have read on other websites including octopusskimmer.com that this skimmer is recommended for 300 gallons. Is this true? and why is premiumaquatics.com gallonage rating for skimmer, significantly lower than many other websites ?

Hi,

Looks like they changed there specs a bit. The info on our site was from Octopus when they first came out. I've updated to 300g.

I think a decent 8" x 30" skimmer should give you close to 300g capacity. I would say 200 heavily loaded. So i think with your tank, sump and frag tank, you'll be in a good comfortable soon for good skimming.
