reef octopus

Hey guys just needed some imput I recently went to set up my protein skimmer and the thing went nuts with micro bubbles back in the tank. is this safe for my current fish. I know it has a break in period I am running carbon and gfo atm not sure if it is reacting to putty but I figured the tank had been up 4 weeks.

edit it's the reef octopus 1000 model.....one day I will have a sump one day

It should be fine. Give it a few hrs, if it doesnt stop then theres something else causing it other than the putty
