Reef Plugs Questions????

Hi Folks,
I just got some "cured" reef plugs in that I bought from someone on ebay. They claimed to be cured and shipped wet, which they are.

1. Why do they have to be cured? They are very small. They don't have die off.

2. Is there anything I need to do to them before using them?

3. Should I store the unused one in salty water? Or just let them dry out?

Thanks,
Tom

Their term for Curing is to let the cement leach out all the hydroxides. If they weren't cured, they could potentially increase the pH of your tank drastically. You can let any unused ones go dry. If you want to use some now, make sure you dry it off so the glue/epoxy sticks to the plug well.
