reef safe epoxy putty?

I found this epoxy putty in the plumbing section of my local hardware store. Does anyone know if it is a reef safe alternate to the aquarium hobby name-brand stuff? It was only $5 for a 4 oz. tube (half the price of the name brand). It actually states on the directions that it can be used to repair aquariums. I would just fell better if I knew that others are using it without problems.

Thanks,

I had a similar question awhile back and the concensus seemed to be that it is fine to use, it just might make your skimmer go crazy for a bit.

aquamend is expensive, buy harveys plumber epoxy putty, $2.99 a stick, and from what have seen it is the same as aquamend.

Thanks for the input so far. I plan to do my aquascape in the next day or two. I will post an update when I'm done and let you know how the corals do.
thanks

eric

how do you get the epoxy to hold stuff on the side of a rock, mine keeps falling. should i want 10-15 minutes after mixing to use? it says it has a 20 minute work time.
