reef safe lobster

its listed as reef safe.... i was thinking maybe at his current size, but arnt they bound to grow and as they do thing become more edible?

oh crud, i wouldn't call that reef safe! maybe for abt a month, but mine is abt 3 in long and he is the master of the tank! he ate clams, crabs, catalina gobies, and who knows what else!
 
whoa, slow down! for one thing how did you get him? and if he goes into the mantis tank he's toast, if it's a small mantis, then he's toast when he molts!
 
That's a spiny lobster. They get about three-quarters of a meter in length. They are edible, and people do eat them :D Ever seen those "caribbean Lobster tails" in the grocery store? They come from lobsters similar to that. Not very Reef-Safe though..:D Good Luck!
