Reef safe? Need help to iD this starfish

A friend of mine just got into the reef tank hobby and she was gifted with this star, but I cannot find any info of it and feeding habit also if it's reef safe ?

Looks like a type of red knob starfish, if i'm right then no they're not reef safe

I have the same kind. They are from Hawaii, I can't remember the name. Mine is named GiNorman and he is a great Reef inhabitant. They eat feather dusters and ate a little clumsy around unglued frags.

It was driving me crazy. This is what I THINK it is. Mithrodia bradleyi. See if Google images is anything like what you are referring to.
