Reef salt with NSW alkalinity levels

I've been using Reef Crystals but the alk is at 14dkh. It's for a biocube 29 and I do 5 gallons wc each week. Either I switch salts or add something to bring the new water to about 8dkh.

The tanks has mainly sps frags and a few softies. I'd like to keep the dkh at 8 - 9. I currently use 2 part bionic as well as mag.

thanks,
Albert

i use reef crystals do 5 gallons change a week in a 24 gallon and do nothing everything is fine use a buffer if your concerned or to high but mine dont change much

Sorry to be ignorant but what is a "buffer". I use bionic and thought the buffer part 2 is to raise alkalinity not lower it.

Oceanic typically measured 8.5 dKH for me, in the past. The salt seems to have high Calcium and Magnesium concentrations. I've always like this salt mixed with Instant Ocean at a 1:1 ratio.
