skimmers? i have a asg2, is it sposed to flow over the cap of the collection cup a little, and is it sposed to foam all the time? help, i hooked it up but dont understand why there is foam so much

let the water level be at the bottom of the neck and gradually (depnds on your bio load) the foam will rise byitself and over flow in to the cup. it can take up to a week dpending on the amount of fish. the foam should turn brown

it does make the foam and it does rise into the cup but it overflows the foam under the cup lid a little, is it sposed to be on tighter or is this normal for a asm2 skimmer?

what do you mean the foam under the cup? Is this an ASM G2 skimmer? Any chance you could get a picture?
