Reef tank recovery

It seems that someone sabotaged my reef tank by dumping dish soap into it. The tank is destroyed, looks like a few snails are still alive, all fish, coral, inverts dead. Where do I start to rebuild? Can I save the rock and sand? Thanks!

Man I would b devastated I would take out the sand and rinse it good along with the rock

Wow that's just low! Did you have a party or something?

Ya, if it was me and not saying it's the only right method to take as nothing like this ever happen to me before, but I would strip down start over rinse sand & rocks really good. Cure " cook" the rocks and soak and clean tank and equipment like pumps in water and vinegar.

I recently set up a guys tank who had the same happen. However it was is ex wife that did it, we ended up tossing everything, he got a new tank kept the equipment but went out and got new sand and rock just to be on the safe side. Sorry for the loss, I would be ****ed.

I can't really comment on who did what, there were some things stolen and I did recently break up with an ex, it is under investigation. Terrible surprise to come home to... I am crushed, I lost a big, beautiful clam, a large Magnifica anemone, and a large pair of Blue Throat triggers that had recently spawned. I don't know how much soap was put into the tank, but it made the skimmer go nuts, over flow all over the floor, and my Kalk reactor dumped everything into the tank. I don't know if it was the soap or Kalk over dose that killed everything. I think I will just stick to dosing from here on out...
