Reefkeeper II in Orlando?

Sea in the city carries aquacontrollers for sure, not positive about refkeepers. Do your research If I remeber right the aquacontrollers have the ability to control more channels. Ive got a aquacontroller jr that is the best purchase ive made in my opinion. And to boot Neptune has a forum on here with some VERY actve tech support for the aquacontrollers, any question Ive had has been answered by neptune within hours.

have you had a rk2 flfirefighter? i was wondering which one is better and how different the rk1 is from the 2 - i was also looking into purchasing one

Ive had a reefkeeper for a short amount of time and decided the aquacontroller was a better bargain. comparing the AQjr to the RK1 or 2 I found a lot of things I needed that the AQjr was able to do, for example the ability to hook up a float switch (serial port required on AQjr) Data logging, Random timers and the use of x-10 devices are all not possible on reefkeepers. Also AQjr will control up to 12 circuits where reefkeepers only control 8. If you look into the aqjr make sure to get the serial port version and a copy of the aquanotes software. As long as you keep it hooked up to a computer that is turned on with a internet connection you can set it to email you alarms if anything goes wrong, You could even set it up to send you a text message on your phone if youre provider allows texts to be sent to an email address. Also if you have remote desktop access to your computer you culd check in on the tank while you are away, I dont have it setup but have chatted with some people that do and they love it. Essentially most of the benefits that come with the more expensive ethernet controllers can be worked around with enough tinkering.

heres a link to a great comaprison chart.
