Reefkeeper lite problem

Using channel number three to turn on and off a fan to cool surface water; I have the following problem. It is a 9.5W 120v fan. The reef keeper doesn't always turn it off (even though channel is off). Does most of the time but twice so far it hasn't. Pulling the plug and plugging it back in turns it off. I assume they must be using an open ended triac for control. Is anyone else having this problem? Or know a work around?

Try asking in the Digital Aquatics sponsor section, they're pretty helpful. It sounds like you have a problem in your program settings though. I have a 120v fan on my RK lite and it runs great.

Put the output to Auto. An set an Alarm to turn ON when above a certain degree.

You can call DA also if you need a walk through

No problem with programming they just replied that
"
This is a well documented issue with devices that have a poor power factor. We use a triac that improves the performance but is does not always help. That's why we have included the two relayed outlets."

so know I need to buy another strip since the high amp "relay outs I already use for other functions"

I have my fan on #2 and no problems. I'd see if your high amp ones would still work on 2 or 3 then move the fan to 1 or 4.
