reeflink help

Hi,

I cannot seem to get my reeflink to be connected all the time with the blue light. I am getting an error with yellow, red and green. It would work again if I unplug the power cord and plug it back in. It would stay blue for up to an hour.

Any idea? It has been updated to the latest firmware. I also try switching the internet line and it didnt help. I am thinking it could be a bad powercord. This has been going on for over 2 weeks now.

thank

S2k,

It's odd that your ReefLink would continue to disconnect. Do you ever experience outages with your home's internet? Additionally, if the ReefLink becomes disconnected does it ever re-connect and turn blue on it's own?

Once it disconnect it would not connect again until I unplug and plug the power cord back in. No issues with outages from my internet. My apex is hooked up right next to my reeflink (both to the same router) and I am able to access apex fusion 24/7.

Could it be a power cord issue? I bought the reeflink in July 2014 but didn't install until November 2014 when I had time off during thanksgiving.

S2K,

You may be getting some interference from the Apex. I would recommend moving the ReefLink to a different area in the home to see if this resolves the issue.

I tried moving it last night away from the apex with a long Internet cable and same thing happened. It'll boot with the blue light then about 20 minutes later it was green, red and yellow.

Any other suggestions as to why this not functioning correctly. A friend of mine has both the reeflink and apex in the same cabinet and his reeflink is working just fine.

Did this get settled?

I bought my reeflink 3 months ago and was working fine up until this week. It randomly goes from blue to the yellow, red, green. For most of the day it stays in the yellow, red, green and randomly goes to blue.

I unplugged it and replugged it. Still the same issue, I have not yet connected it to the usb.

Frustrating when your products do not work like they are supposed to..

Whaler,

Make sure you are running the most recent version of the firmware. Additionally, please contact us for more advanced troubleshooting.

Hi Alex - haven't heard back and it's been a week. I sent a second email to the support email from ecotech website. Please check for me so we can get the issue resolve. Thanks

@s2k After a few hours of trying to figure this out, the trick that did it for me was unplugging my router and plugging it back in.

Don't know why, because my reeflink was hooked up wireless for months no issue but it worked.

It may work for you.
