Reeflo Dart

I am thinking about getting a Dart to run a c-loop with a OM 4-Way. Since I have some time before I start working on the tank I am doing some research.
From what I have read go with the Baldor motor and not the A.O Smith motor.
What I am not sure of is if I should just spend the extra money and get a brand new or used. Any advice would be great !!!!

I too am doing a closed loop with an OM-4. How about that. Anyway I'll be watching your thread closly. I was thinking of using a dart, but worried that it was too much flow for my 90. I know I could dial it back, but that makes more noise. On the other hand if you get a "Red Dragon" pump there's no noise but you spend a fortune for less flow. So much to think about. Hopefully alot of people will wieght-in for you.

c-loop = Closed Loop, for water movment without open air getting into the line.
OM-4 = Ocean Motion 4 way, wavemaker, look it up on any aquarium site.
Reeflo Dart and Red Dragon are pump brands.

I had a dart with the A.O. Smith motor, was a bit loud but didn't have any performance issues at all, and most of the noise came from having it throttled back a bit. I had gotten it used, and it worked great.

Sounds good Cloakerpoked. I found a fairly new one for a good price with the Baldor motor.
