Refractometer ?

Just a quick question. The black plastic hinge that is on the clear plastic prism cover is sticking really bad where it hooks to the Refractometer but I am still able to get it to lay flat on the prism. Is it still ok to use if not how would I fix it? Thanks

Yup... common problem. As long as the clear plastic part lays flat, you're OK. Might want to kind of push it down on the edge with your finger while you're reading it to make sure it's flat.

If you want to fix it, find a small diameter... something... and push the steel pin out of the hinge. Soak it in vinegar or buff it up with some steel wool. Push the pin back in and it should be good as new.

Thanks man I was hoping it was a simple fix. Its just one thing after another. I got 5 fish in a HT and doing water changes every other day. The DT is in a fallow period. I fried my ro unit new one on the way. Just wondering whats next.
