Refugium help!

I made space in my sump, in design, for a refugium. I have rubble rock in there and I recently got some cheato for it. It's lit by a home depot led flood light (5500k) and all I grow in there is cyano/red slime. It has engulfed the macro Algae. Is this just a bad bulb color or is this fine?

Sounds more like a nutrient issue in general. Are you growing cyano in the display as well?

Nope just in the fuge. I'm not really upset i can't grow algae. Just wondering

Cyanobacteria and lack of flow can sometimes go hand in hand. Increasing this might help. (along with manual removal) GL.

I'll go along with that. I've definitely got a low flow sump. Ill try that out! Thanks
