If was to get a 210 gal tank. what size of Refugium do you thank i need to build. the next question it sand bed or merical mudd or nothing.

I'm no expert but the more water volume the better.
I have 2 120's and running 80 gal and 40.
I would use more volume if I had room.
The wife does not know it yet but going to drill a hole thru the wall and add 100 gals to the one.

I used miracle mud under a sand bed . it forms a anarobic layer at 3/4 inch. but damn is it easy to get stirred up, I used just the mud for a few days and I had 1/4 of it go up the return line and form a black layer all over the tank.

I used a 6" sand bed with the mud on the bottom and mangroves
nitrates have been 0 for months now.
