Regal tang behavior w/ mono fish

So i have had my regal tang for 1 year and has always been the biggest fish in my tank. I just got done QT a Mono (Monodactylidae) and added him last evening within a few seconds of adding, Dorry flared out her fins and was doing some sort of bouncing side to side movement with head slightly down.

Am i correct to assume this is some sort of Dominance display? Just never seen her/him do it before and was just wondering what it was.

as long as the mono isnt getting bit or stabbed you should be ok.


but to answer your question yes, its dominance display. mine also goes sideways and gets darker.
