remote shutter release

hey gyus just wondering what brand shutter release people use for there Rebel series DSLR's? thanks

I've always just used the Canon one but there are plenty of knockoffs available. It's really just a switch so it's pretty hard to do that wrong.

lol very true..i guess i should have narrowed the question down to has any one had any problems with the cheeper shutter releases...lol...thanks beerguy.

Yep, its just a few switches is all. I actually wired up my own . It ain't exactly pretty but it works.

I bought the super cheap one from ebay and it has worked just fine. As Doug said, it's pretty tough to screw a switch up.

I bought a very reasonable one on Amazon from Satechi(sic?). It was about $85, works great with the Canon 40D, and can be used attached to the camera and/or remotely.

I bought the Canon brand remote and it works great. attaches right to the strap, so I never lose it.

I bought the $12 ebay wireless shutter release and it works great. Figured if it breaks its just disposable. Its really nice having the wireless version.
