Removing bio-wheels from Emperor

I have an Emperor 400. I've read in numerous places that it is recommended to run it without the bio-wheels. But I find the jets make too loud a noise without the wheels in place. Is there a way to dampen the noise of the jets without the bio-wheel in place?

Keep the bio wheels, doesn't do much for bio, but doesn't hurt either. I have had mine on my 29 for two years with no issues

What I did a while back was take the caps from my api test kit vials and put over the end of the jets. Worked like a charm. I would think you could silicone the ends as well.

Just take the centre part out and on the bottom is the flow control manifold. Take this off and put it all back together = no more water out of jets
