I have the not so nice kind overtaking much of my tank. I want them gone once and for all. What's the best way to remove them from an SPS dominated tank?
From what I understand you'll actually have to cut underneath the shroom. A thin layer of the rock should come off with the shroom to make sure it won't grow back. From my research, the best way is to buy new rock.
I would like to remove them without taking apart the reef. Is there any other option before I go with that plan? I've done that before and it's a real pain and the return rate is still high.
Put a small container or spoon over the shrooms. In many cases they'll move to get back to the light... right onto the obstructing object. Then you can just remove them! Also works for aiptasia!
I was thinking of something along the lines of a predator or something that will remove all trace of these things. There has to be something. There is always something out there that will kill what you want to keep?LOL.
