Repaired Skimmer overflowing

Hey guys. I recently bought a used schism jetskim 150 off someone on here and it came with the inlet pipe broken completely off. After a week of acrylic weld #4 and some silicone I've gotten it attached pretty securely. But when I turned it on it went crazy with bubbles. It is sitting in 12" of water which might be too deep... but I was thinking it was probably due to the acrylic weld and the silicone. What do you guys think?

OK day 2 still overflowing. I'm going to add 4" to the stand so the Skimmer sits in 8" of water instead of 12". Now if It's because of the acrylic weld and the silicone impurities then I need to remove them I guess right? Or will they dissolve naturally? I could temporarily put a reef octopus nwb 110 in there with that Skimmer to try to pick up all the crap from the repair if it's worth it. What do you guys think?

12is way to deep. Try 8-9.

Also it looks like that sump is also way to full. What happens when the power goes out? Doesn't seem like you have much more room for drainage.

I'm working on extending the stand now. Yeah that chamber is overfilled in that photo. I just put that 64 oz. Chemipure in the baffle and it's blocking some water flow so it's Overflowing to the fuge but normally It's not quite that high. The 90 display drops 1" when power is cut and it is 18" wide and the 55 sump is 12" wide so it only fills an extra 1.5" and that sump has 4-5" above the normal waterline. My last sump didn't make use of all the extra space so I wanted this one to give me as much water volume as possible.

Cool. Just wanted to make sure you where not headed towards a future flood.

OK I built a new stand. The Skimmer is sitting in 8-9" of water now. Still overflowing. But seems less crazy for now. I only run it while I'm home so I can monitor it so It's taking a while to set up. It's wide open as you can see the flow restriction valve is still on the floor. I'm hoping it's just the new silicone and acrylic weld and this will pass soon. This cup has no drain pipe so I just syphon water from the top air hole through a drip line back to the return. I wonder if I should set up the other Skimmer for a while in the return to collect the residue from the repair or will it all dissipate in the saltwater after some time of just running?
