replacement PLASTIC brace for glass top

Where could I order a replacement plastic brace for my glass tops?
Everybody sells the tops. Nobody sells the braces... :(
In fact people don't seem to know what I am talking about. It's just a little plastic piece that sits on top of the actual glass brace:

As you can see the panels don't really reach it so I was thinking of getting a second brace and just have them side by side.

Looks pretty old. I would guess it's not made anymore. I don't see many tanks with the large glass brace.

I would ditch the glass tops if that is a saltwater tank. They tend to cause more problems than they're worth.

It looks yucky and old because I just added sand to the tank and have bubbles from that on top. :)

So your vote is for open top and just top off with fresh water more often?

+1 with open top. It will also cool the tank more efficently and less headache with cleaning the glass. If you have MH lights make sure you have a UV protected glass on the fixture to save any corals you might get or have. If you don't have MH's no worries just clen the light fixture every week or so.

great! I never covered my 30g because when I did it just got too hot but I wasn't sure about the big tank.

I am waiting for my 72" T5 fixture to arrive :) No MH - too much electric use and heat...
