I have a 4 month old 10 gallon fowlr tank with 5 to 6 pcs small sizes rock(palm size), recentlly i purchased a big live rock which attracted me a lot with some pretty holes, now i want to replace those rocks with the new big live rock which was in my lfs tanks from last 6 months or more.

How do i replace them with the new one?

Cycle the big rock in its own container.. When fully cycled remove small rocks and replace with big rock..

...although it may already be cycled. I would put the new rock in a separate container and add enough pure ammonia to raise the ammonia level to 2ppm, if the rock is cycled the ammonia will drop to zero overnight, if it’s not cycled, simply wait for the ammonia and nitrites to zero out and then switch out the rocks.

Sorry for some reason I didnt understand that the big rock was already in a tank...If so ifs already cycled and you can just purchase it...keep it wet and transfer it right into your own tank.

Oh yes thats what i think that it was already in my lfs tank from last 6 months...so do why do ii still need to cycle it?

Ok today i take out some more rocks then tmrw i add big rock and the day after i add 1 chromis & 1 bangaii cardinall. Hope thats fine. No problems later on..
