Reseal tank?

Bent

I got nothin'
So, I did a freshwater test on my 16 year old tank that has been in storage.

It held fine. However, the silicone seems to be peeling off on the inside and parts of the plastic frame I can lift off the tank.

I've really been considering redoing the entire frame by completely removing the whole frame and adding new sealant, then scraping the beads off of the inside of the tank, and running new beads.

Since the tank is just currently sitting there dry until I get it plumbed, it's not like I'm going to be filling it anytime soon.

Good idea or not?

Why stop there? If you are comfortable doing so I would dissassemble the entire tank and do a complete re seal.

Well I thought about that, but I figure stripping all of it out would be damn near the same thing.

Has anyone ever siliconed clear plastic corners to the outside of the tank?

I'm just trying to think of ways to brace this thing.
