I need some advice on figuring out some type of qt and disease treatment/preventative protocol for in a retail environment.
Obviously putting each fish in a separate qt tank and observing for 2-3 weeks with follow up treatments for any issues would be best. But doing that for an order of 25-35 fish bi-weekly is not really an option. What I need is something realistic that can help to minimize fish disease and loss.
Currently all of the fish are acclimated to a qt system for 2 weeks and treated with cupramine. The qt system has just basic sponge filters and some lr for filtration. It's two 33 gallon tanks partitioned into 3 chambers both draining down to a sump.
After the 2 weeks the fish are moved over to the fish rack, a ~200 gallon system. Just recently added a new skimmer and are planning on adding a large uv to the system shortly.
