Hi guys,

The plan is to install ReefSavvy Ghost overflow 2000 GPH, 3x1" drains will be set for Beananimal on the tank's side

2x1" returns will be on the same side as the overflow.

What is better for return in-sump pump configuration:
- 1 VarioS-8 Controllable DC Pump (2700 GPH)
- 2 VarioS-6 Controllable DC Pumps (1720 GPH) one per input

Thanks

Assuming the sump is on the same floor just below the tank with like 5ft of head or so....

Either is more than sufficient..
The 2 x varios6 will give you some "failsafe" should one fail...But it will draw more power than a single resulting in higher energy cost as well as procurement/maintenance costs..

In general 3-5x display tank volume is sufficient for the flowrate through a sump..

I have 2 pumps on my 300. Both oversized and turned down.
pro is failsafe if one goes down
cons are cost, more pumps in the sump space, and more energy (if you care, I don't)
