Return Pump..Max Head Hieght...

gittin ready to purchase a return pump for my 300..7' long...6' high....1"1/2 drains with gate valve's..1" returns with ball valve's..should I double my max head hieght for the lenth of the tank... I know the rule is 3 to 5 time's the tank volume in GPH..but Im a little worried about the the 6'..or 3' split at the T from the return to both overflows....any idea's

Head is a measure of loss of flow through plumbing. Tank length has nothing to do with it. Use the RC head loss calculater to figure out what you need
