Return Pump

What should I use to pad an internal return pump to reduce noise and vibrations? I have construction foam under it now, but not sure if that is reef safe.

I'm not sure if the foam is safe either, I have used clear tubing silicone to the bottom of the pump with good results. I have heard people using mouse pads but I wouldn't use one inside of a sump.
