As the title says, I plan on revamping my 220g in about six months. It's been running for a couple of years and I need a change. I want to get some ideas from you all regarding a new stocking list. From my current stocking list, I only plan on keeping my purple tang, yellow tang, pair of clowns, and a ruby head fairy wrasse (cirrhilabrus cf cyanopleura). The clowns may go into a different tank if they'd be incompatible with what my end goal is. I would like to get a magnifica anemone for them as it's the only anemone I've had long term success with. The tangs may go if there is potential aggression issues.
What I'm trying to get is colorful chaos. I'm looking to add a lot of anthias, a handful of wrasses, a bunch of green and blue chromis, and anything else small that may fit in the mix. I want the aquarium to be as peaceful as possible with a lot of movement all over the place. My two biggest concerns are which specific fish to choose, and what quantity can I actually maintain in a 220g. I honestly don't know if 10 - 15 - 20 - 30 anthias will work in the long run or if it's just two cramped and too much bioload.
Let's hear from the experts on how to approach the colorful chaos. Any and all advice is welcome. Thanks!
