ric dip?

Grrrrrrr. I bought 12 rics and i dont know what to dip them in. They are acclimating as i type this. any thoughts are appreciated.

Though I dip things like zoos and SPS I generally don't dip mushrooms. You could probably put them in a weak iodine solution if you're worried about anything living in any rock they might be attached to but they can get annoyed real easily until they're acclimated- yumas especially

I dip everything that goes in my tank. The last time I got my yuma, I dipped them in betadine & they're fine with it.

Both Yumas and FLoridas get dipped, especially with attached subtrates. I use Reef Dip.

I just don't mix it to the color of coffee like I do with zoos !

I freshwater dip mine just before they go into the tank with the pH buffered up to the same level as my tank water. I haven't lost one yet.

I plan to start using Tropic Marin Pro-Coral Cure in all my coral dips in addition to the fresh water dip in the near future. I've heard the stuff is great.

One word: Hitchhikers

They aren't usually on the shroom polyp itself, but rather on the substrate that it's attached to.

That was my fear as well kik. I was advised not to dip them but i did anyway. I have fought flatworms and redbugs and i dont know how much fight i have left in me.

I used Seachem Coral Disinfectant and flatworm exit. The seachem says its safe for polyps and nems so i figured why not.

you could save yourself a whole bunch of money and purchase some Tincture iodine from CVS or Walgreens or your local box pharmacy store. It is only a buck or two. good luck
