as long as you stay out of protected waters and obey any other laws there is no reason for you not to get some. obviously that guy was not just bringing some coral home just to put in his tank

"as long as you stay out of protected waters and obey any other laws"

Ditto , make sure u get a fishing license...

for some reason though i think Ricordeas are protected and illegal to collect anywhere in florida , i could be wrong though .

Ricordea fall under this

"Sea anemones - Any species of the Orders Actinaria, Zoanthidea, Corallimorpharia, and Ceriantharia"

You would be limited to 20.

I had no idea the State of Florida allowed harvesting like this.
Does anyone know where to get a "slurp gun"?

Any success or horror stories from harvesting Miami/Keys area?

The rics attached to that big rock would be a pain to harvest without damaging them, I believe you can take a 1" square of base rock along with the frag but still...

The zoos on the other hand would be cake, that grass is easy to pull out.

Nice pics btw, I've never seen zoos or rics here in Florida but last year I saw huge mats down in the Bahamas and Dom. Rep.
