Ric's multiplying

I bought 2 blue ric's 1 month ago. One ric had 1 mouth, the other ric had 2 mouth's. In one month the ric that had 1 mouth now has 4 mouth's, and the ric that had 2 mouth's now has 5 mouth's. They are starting to fold up on eachother because they dont have room to fully open up anymore. Do I need to cut them and seperate them so they have more room to expand or should I leave them alone untill they seperate themselves? Thanks

I placed a ruberband very loose between two mouths, left it there 3 days. Took it off then the next day it split.

You could cut them if you wanted, but they will also split themselves over time.

If it were me I'd want to cut them, but rightfully I'd like them to split naturally. They should know when they need to split.....
