Hey guys.
I've been planning on going big with my next tank. Recently, I've been thinking that I'm not in the right place to purchase a new system, so I want to my my current nanocube a little more interesting.
First of all, I plan on ordering a 70w MH pendant from fishneedit, to open up the doors with different coral, as well as give me a much better look than the cheap PC's that are lightyears out of style.
I also am looking into making my nanocube rimless. After inspecting the cheap plastic rim, it doesn't seem to do much other than be a place for the lid to land. The tank itself is one solid piece of acrylic. I don't believe that it adds much if any strength to the tank.
Is this a dumb idea? It doesn't seem like it will be an impossible task. I read some on here about a success with it, but that poster is long gone.
I also read about multiple tank cracks, which were all one statement made by one guy. I have a hard time believing much he has to say, after researching his other posts.
